Ties to the Blood Moon by Robin P. Waldrop
Publisher: Self-Published
First published: November 1st, 2011
Goodreads Summary:
Genevieve is a teenage girl who moves in with her aunt in Alaska after the death of her mother. Soon after her arrival she learns the things she was raised to believe only existed in fairytales are in fact a big part of her history. When it gets to be too much she seeks refuge in the arms of her new boyfriend, William, only to find out he's not who she thought he was either.

What do you prefer to read: physical books or eBooks?

Actually, I love the convenience of an eBook, but have yet to buy a reader, so for now I guess it’s print. I can’t wait until my book comes out in print. It’s due to be released the end of this month. Oh, I love audio books, too. Mine is in production, but with it being the first one for me, I have no earthly idea how long it will take before it’s released.

Would you like to time travel into the past or into the future?

Definitely the past. Every single time I sit down and watch a western movie all I can think about is what if…

What part is easier for you to write: the first chapter or the last chapter?

The last chapter without a doubt. It might take me a week to write the first chapter. I find myself writing something, then deleting it thinking, “I can do much better than this.” And I start all over. But, once I get that initial chapter finished I feel like it’s pretty much downhill from there.

If you could only drink either tea or coffee for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

That’s an easy one: COFFEE! I am a coffee-a-holic. No joke. I drink coffee from the time I wake up until the time I go to sleep. And even then, if I wake up in the middle of the night I’ll make a small pot of fresh coffee.

What are you more likely to eat a lot of: chocolate or wine gums?

Chocolate. Did I forget to mention I have this addiction to Dove milk chocolate? And it goes so well with coffee. *smiling*

What creates a more lasting impression: the cover or the synopsis of a book?

Hmm…That’s a hard one to answer. The cover is awesome. Claudia Mckinney of phatpuppyart.com designed it. However, the synopsis gets your curiosity going.

Are you an early riser or do you prefer to sleep as long as possible?

I am most definitely an early riser. I’m always up by four-ish every morning. I guess I have this internal alarm clock from when I worked at our family business.

What kind of books do you prefer to read yourself: Adult or Young Adult?

If you had asked me this question a year ago I would have said Adult. Now, without a doubt it’s Young Adult!

Are you a thrill-seeking person or does the thought of bungee jumping scare you?

I am not a thrill seeker. I used to freak out just climbing a step ladder.

Thank you, Robin, for answering my questions. I especially love the chocolate-addiction-part, because I can identify with it so much.
Everyone else: Feel free and answer your favorite questions of these yourself - I'd love to find out more about you as well!

  1. Great interview Carina! It was really interesting to read all of Robin's answers. My favorite is the one about coffee or tea, since I'm pretty much a coffee addict too :)
