Cover Comparisons #01

Living in Germany gives me the perfect opportunity to compare original covers with the ones German publishers choose. Sometimes they're gorgeous, sometimes they make me cringe, but it's always interesting to see different covers for the same novel.

Cover Comparisons will be a weekly feature here at Fictional Distraction.

The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

To be honest, I like the German cover of The Iron King a lot better. While I always thought that the original cover (and the ones of the sequels) were quite pretty, there's something special about the German cover.
The problem for me is that it doesn't represent the story as well as the original does. If I hadn't seen the author's name, I would have never associated it with The Iron King.

Which version do you like better?
